Couple Session at Penicuik House
A couple session at Penicuik House, just outside Edinburgh, in a place I know by heart, it was my old playground when I lived nearby.
We started in the forest, among the horses, surrounded by ancient pines and oaks. The spot is beautifully wild, and the light was perfect: a big blue sky, drifting clouds, bright spells, everything just right. Then we moved on to Penicuik House itself, the shell of a grand Palladian mansion. Built in the 1760s, it was destroyed by fire in 1899, and its ruins stood for over a hundred years before being stabilised. It sits at the heart of a vast and beautiful estate, which made it a stunning backdrop for the session.
