Wedding at Dairsie Castle
A wedding at Dairsie Castle, in Fife, Scotland. A beautiful old castle in true Scottish style, all ancient stone, with lovely gardens all around.
As always, I began by capturing the place, the setting, the little details of what the couple were wearing, and the preparations. I was there alongside Éric René Penoy, a French photographer who, like me, lived in Scotland. After the preparations, we headed to the church, then back to the castle.
The light that day was something special, dark and muted, wrapping everything in a soft, quiet mood. We spent a good while photographing the castle and its gardens. The bride was striking, red-haired, in a bold, statement gown; the groom just as elegant. He's a musician, a singer in a band, and during the day he even played and sang a little, a private mini concert for the guests. A real treat. We did the couple session in the castle gardens. A beautiful, truly Scottish wedding.
