Family Session in Penicuik
A family photo session in Penicuik, just south of Edinburgh. That day the weather was moody: a fine rain falling, heavy dark clouds, and the trees blazing with autumn colour.
I love Scotland in the rain. The colours come alive, the tones turn soft and muted, and the light has something special, an atmosphere that's just perfect for a photo session, whether couple or family. This family had two little girls. As always, I mixed colour and black and white, because I think both have their place in a session.
